I am continually amazed by the diverse beauty of nature. I am grateful to have shared these sights. It was a lovely, peaceful holiday.

- I am a simple girl. I am blessed...sweet family, rewarding work, good friends. I like quiet solitude. I love long runs, being underwater, riding my bike, watching/riding the waves, and sitting by the fire with a cat (or three) and a good book. I love the Fort to Sea Trail. Its a good long run in any weather. I like it best in pouring rain. Lots of creatures come out to share the trail with me. Over the past three years, in memory of my Dad and as an intregral part of my grief work, I have begun participating in and training for endurance sports events. I find that there is a sweet place on the other side of my physical pain threshold where my body fades and I find a deeper spiritual and emotional experience. It is there that I meet my Dad. I have become attached to several events. The Portland Marathon is one of these. I am finding others as well. Once I find an event that I enjoy, I am motivated to return the following year. I am developing a seasonal travel pattern. Something like the migration of a bird.

hey wiz! i'm totally jealous of those sights. 1800 people registered for the spudman in 15 minutes and thought I tried, i was not one of them. boo hoo
